I was shocked in what I heard. I asked Rei again for the second time.
"Eh? W-what again?"
My voice are not calm as its when I'm speak to him when I heard it from him.
"I said I like you." he repeat himself.
Rei is looking at me seriously.
I'm too much speechless and the atmosphere become silent.
"Nao." he said with a serious face.
Nao shocked when he heard Rei said only her name without referring to 'chan'.
"I need to calm down.. Calm down!" she thought to herself.
Her face are sweating and blushing.
"Nao.." Rei said while rubbing his head.
"Rei..."
She stopped for a while.
"Well you know..."
Nao don't know what she'll say so Rei speaks.
"I can wait. I know its so sudden but I can wait for your answer."
Nao become speechless.
And Rei start walking and she followed.
Then Nao reached the house.
She went straight in her room and changed clothes.
Rei start liking Nao, 3 years ago, when she approached him the time where his family was got in accident. It was raining in the evening. Rei is soaking wet and Nao saw him. She shared her umbrella to him.
"You'll catch cold if you stay like this" Nao said to him.
He look at Nao.
"Who are you?"
"Well, Just passing by here and I saw you. I live near here." she replied.
"I see.." with a slow voice.
"Uhm, if you don't mind can you go back home and change clothes? Really you'll catch cold here if you stay" Nao said with a worried face.
Rei didn't response and Nao continue talking.
"You're parents will scold you when you don't go back home." pointing a finger in him.
"I don't have parents anymore."
"Huh? You're kidding me.."
Nao look at Rei.
"Have you watched the news?" Rei asked.
"What news?"
"About the truck and car accident and it cause of explosion..?" he replied with a low voice.
Nao become speechless.
Both Rei and Shinichi's parent died 3 years ago in car accident where they heading in business trip. It was said that the bus they're riding where bumped by a big truck and cause of explosion.
After being speechless, Nao offered him.
"If you don't want to go back, want to go to my auntie's house?"
Rei look at Nao and he nods his head and follow her in her auntie's house.
Nao explained to her auntie what happen. And her auntie was shocked when she know that his parents are one of the passengers in that accident.
She allowed Rei to stay overnight in the house and in the vacant room.
Nao comfort Rei until he'll come down.
When the morning comes. Nao and Rei helps in the shop.
Suddenly Shinichi came.
"Rei?" looking at Rei.
"Shinichi..." he replied.
Shinichi smack him.
"Oi, wait.. What are you doing?" Nao said with an angry face.
"Don't worry I know this person." Rei said to Nao.
Nao became silent for a moment.Both Rei and Shinichi start talking.
Shinichi were worried with Rei. He searched for Rei whole night.
"This is where I can find you" Shinichi said.
"Why are you here?" Rei asked.
He smacked Rei again for the second time.
Nao was shocked. Rei is not fighting back.
"If you know I search for you whole the night. And I thought that you do something bad. I'm worried at you... y'know" Shinichi shout and cried.
"I'm sorry.." Rei with a low voice.
Since Shinichi and Rei are neighbors plus childhood friends, Shinichi knows well about Rei. He thought that he'll took suicide when he heard about the news. Because both of them have a good relationship with there parents unlike with the others who are too cold in there child.
Shinichi cried at him that time.
Nao smiled both of them.
And after what happened Nao become closed friend to both of them.
After changing clothes, Nao went in the shop to help since she's free.
When she reached the shop she saw Sanagi.
"Oh Nao.." Sanagi said.
"Where's Ena-neechan?" she asked while looking at the surroundings.
"She went to get somewhere, Your auntie called her and she leave. She said she'll be back later." Sanagi replied.
"I see.." she replied.
Sanagi looking at her.
Nao find a chair and sit.
"I'll help for a while here."
Nao spacing out.
Sanagi calls her many times but she didn't hear anything.
Sanagi went in where Nao is sitting.
He stretched her mouth.
Nao smacked Sanagi.
"IT HURTS!!" she shout.
Sanagi holds his head..
"How mean.. I was calling you yet you're not responding." Sanagi said.
"I'm sorry.."
Sanagi staring at her.
"What are you staring at me?" Nao asked.
"Nothing.. Just noticed that somethings bothering you." he replied.
"It's nothing.."
"Really? I told you if there's something bothering you, you can approached me."
Nao is not looking at Sanagi.
"Yeah, I'm fine and nothing to bothered at all." she replied.
"Really?" he asked and chuckled.
"What are you laughing at?" Nao asked and annoyed.
"Nothing.. You're not in your self you know.."
"Huh?"
Nao stand up and walk.
"Look I'm fine" with a fake smile.
While walking Nao impinge in the wall.
"It hurts.." holding her forehead.
Sanagi laughs at her. And Nao was annoyed and suddenly Shinichi passed by.
"Ah, Nao.." Shinichi said.
"Shi-kun.. Just got back from school?" she replied.
Shinichi nods his head.
"Where's Rei?" he asked.
"Rei...? I don't know maybe at your house already?" she replied.
"I see. Then I'm going now.." Shinichi waves his hand.
Nao waves her hand too.
"See you tomorrow."
Nao back in her place.
Sanagi asked her.
"Are you having a fight with Rei?"
"Huh? We don't fight." she replied.
Sanagi stopped talking.
The atmosphere in the shop is kinda quiet. And Sanagi speaks a few minutes.
"I have a day off this coming Sunday, if you are free want to accompany me?" he smiled at her.
"Accompany you this coming Sunday?" she replied.
"Yes.. Can you?"
"Well, I'm not busy.. But I'll think for t first."
Sanagi wrote in a piece of paper and he gave it to Nao.
"Then, if you can. Here's the time and place we will meet.."
Nao look at what written in the paper.
"But you can refused me if you need something to do.." he added.
"Ok." she replied fast.
A few minutes Ena came back..
"Sorry, I'm late. I'm tired." Ena said and sigh.
"Welcome back" said both of two.
